Who we are

Information we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, the recipient's name, your relationship and the occasion.
- Story content: memories, anecdotes, names, pronunciation notes, dates and musical preferences you share in our form.
- Media: photos and videos you upload (Memory Film package) or other optional files you send us.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number; we receive payment confirmation and limited transaction details.
- Communications: messages you send us by email or social media.
- Website technical data: basic technical logs generated by our hosting provider (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operation.
How we use your information
- To write, produce, review and deliver your song and your package's deliverables.
- To communicate with you about your order, corrections and support.
- To process payments and refunds, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
- To feature your song publicly only if you explicitly opt in (see "Public sharing").
We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
AI tools and service providers
Our songs are AI-assisted and human-curated. To create your song, we share the necessary parts of your story with the following kinds of providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Tally (order and contact forms).
- Stripe (payment processing).
- [AI music generation provider(s)].

- Cloudflare (website hosting).

Public sharing (opt-in only)
We never publish your song, story, photos or any names without your explicit permission. Permission to share publicly is a separate, optional checkbox in the order form, and declining never affects your order.
You can withdraw permission at any time by emailing hello@versalma.co. We will remove it from our channels within [X] days, though we cannot control copies others have already shared.
Information about other people and sensitive content
Stories often include information about other people. By submitting it, you confirm you have the right to share it and permission from anyone shown in your photos or videos. If content includes minors, you confirm you are their parent or guardian, or have their guardian's permission.
Some stories (for example, memorials) may include sensitive details about health or family. Share only what you're comfortable with; we treat it discreetly and only to create your song.
Our service is intended for people aged 18 and over.
Data retention
- Your story content and uploaded media are deleted within 90 days after final delivery, or sooner if you ask.
- We keep your final song files for [X months] so you can download them again.
- We keep order and payment records as long as the law requires (for example, [X] years for tax purposes).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to withdraw consent or object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, email hello@versalma.co. We will respond within [30] days.
